Our Story

In business for nearly 55 years, NNC Solutions has reached many important milestones since 1986.

1968

Mr. Normand Nadeau founded an electronics company with his wife, Huguette Poulin. Like many successful businesses, NNC Solutions began in the founder’s home and garage in Vallée-Jonction, offering repair and sale of electronic devices.

1972

This is the year Normand Nadeau TV Inc. was officially founded. The store is located on the main street in Vallée-Jonction.

1982

The evolution of the electronics division went as follows: SPEC Électronique, Dumoulin, and Centre Hi-Fi Groupe Select.

1984

Opening of the store in Sainte-Marie (Plaza de la Seigneurie). François Faucher officially joins the team as a sales representative.

1987

Construction and opening of the store located at 500 Boulevard Vachon Nord in Sainte-Marie. Arrival of mobile telephony in store.

1995

The first Normand Nadeau Communication (NNC) store outside of Sainte-Marie opens in Carrefour St-Georges.

1999

François Faucher becomes a shareholder of Normand Nadeau TV Inc.

2008

Acquisition of the TELUS FM Électronique dealer which owns four stores in Quebec City.

2009

Acquisition of the TELUS Bois-Franc Électronique dealer which owns two stores (Thetford and Victoriaville).

2011

The electronics division transitions from Dumoulin to Centre Hi-Fi Groupe Select. Acquisition of Action Telecom which owns two stores in Montreal.

2013

NNC becomes the largest TELUS dealer in Quebec and is part of the top 5 in the country, with a total of 10 points of service (Beauce, Lévis, Quebec City, Thetford Mines, Victoriaville, and Montreal).

2016

Acquisition of the TELUS Solution Affaires point of sale in Saguenay (Chicoutimi).

2017

Acquisition of two dealers owning two stores each: TELUS Mobilenet (Montreal and Richmond Hill, ON) and MD Communications (Sept-Îles and Baie-Comeau). These acquisitions made NNC the second-largest TELUS dealer in Canada.

2019

Expansion of the head office located in Sainte-Marie and acquisition of Fortier Solutions Sans Fil (Rimouski and Rivière-du-Loup).

2021

Acquisition of the TELUS S.R.A.D. dealer in the North Shore of Montreal (Laval, Terrebonne, Saint-Jérôme, and Sainte-Agathe).
